Love Month

My dear friend Karly posted this on her blog and was so kind to let me share it with all of you.....

it's so insightful from a newlyweds point of view!

It's so good to know we are all trying to make sense of this thing we call "LOVE"

Yesterday was one of those moments when I truly felt like this again.

After a little emotional break down on my part...

and a little non emotional heartless break down on James' part

we spent 10 minutes in silence driving in the car.

These are the moments newlyweds don't tell you about.

The moments where for the first time you realize that you really do have some distinct differences.

10 minutes later we both just started laughing

apologized 

and moved on.

Holding hands walking in the freezing cold -

James dragging me along and cursing me for wearing heels

He laughed and said, 

 "If I breath on you wrong your feel bads get hurt"

To which I replied

"At least I have feel bads."

And then we spent the next 10 minutes laughing.

Crazy as it sounds these are my most favorite moments of newlywed life.

The ones people don't ever mention

but the ones that are completely real.

The ones where we realize it's a good thing I married someone who never has ups and downs

and it's a good thing James married someone who always has them.

Not going to lie -

I love the little imperfections in married life.

They are certainly worth celebrating.

The Planner

Your big day will be in the savvy hands of celebrity wedding planner Yifat Oren, who's planned the nuptials of stars such as Mariska Hargitay and Kevin Costner, so she can handle even the most extravagant event. Known for her impeccable style and unique ideas, Yifat will make your affair one to remember.

The Timeline

After registering at Crate and Barrel, couples may enter until March 31, 2011 and are encouraged to run their own marketing campaigns, as those with the most votes will make it to the final round. Voters will have until April 30 to choose the final 100 couples. A panel that includes Yifat Oren and Crate and Barrel representatives will then select a winner. Look for the announcement of the winning couple in June.

The Celebration

The planning will begin once the announcement is made. Yifat will be at your beck and call to bring your Ultimate Wedding to life, from designing invitations, choosing a locale and setting the scene to creating a menu, picking a band and coming up with favors.

The Memories

Photos of your very special day will be posted for all the world to see.

2011 Wedding Color Trends

The 2011 Spring Season is right around the corner and according to New York Fashion Week and our friends at Pantone, we can expect to see a very fun and vibrant line-up of popular colors this year.

From the "runway" to real life these colors are amazing and will definitely make their way into 2011 wedding color trends. And who is leading the pack as "Color of the Year"....Honeysuckle is the top pick!

Honeysuckle is~
Flirtatious and fun and will bring a sense of whimsy to your wedding.

Coral Rose is~
A sophisticated orange that will help you create that vintage feel or create that fun, bright, playful look.

Beeswax has been a popular color before but paired with Regatta, it could be nothing short of AMAZING!

Add a little touch of Peapod in there to give it that extra WOW factor.

Lavender is~
Romantic and fanciful but paired with Blue Curacao, Honeysuckle or Coral Rose it would create a palette that is tasteful and enchanting.

To ground any and all of these other colors, select from Silver Peony, Russet or Silver Cloud. These are all a neutral and could add just that little extra flavor you may be in search of.

These colors are all amazing and you really can’t go wrong with any combination of them.  Add in a little splash of your own taste and the designs of your wedding coordinator and you have a recipe for success and beauty!
