After the I Do's have been said and the gifts have been opened, it time to start thinking of how you will express your gratitude for the lovely gifts you received. Here are some tips on some perfect cards to choose and on how to write those wonderful words of thankfulness.

The words inside your card are just as important as the outside.

If you receive a generous amount of money:

Instead of writing thank you for the X amount of dollars, you could say "thank you for your generosity, the money you gave us will help in the purchase of a new home or our honeymoon {what ever it is you plan on spending it on}

If you receive a general gift or something from your registry:

You should first mention what the gift is. Then say what you plan to do with it or where you plan to place your very pretty crystal candle holders {we plan to display these very beautiful candle holders on our dining room table}.

Remember you and your husband are now a couple, so use words "us" and "we"!
Its best to end your card with love or sincerely. A simple and to the point note is all you need.

You can name a board such as "Wedding Dresses" or "Favor Ideas" Then as you scour the internet for ideas and find things you love you can "PIN" them right to your Pinterest Boards... and its as easy as that! Pinterest will track all of the web addresses, where you found the pictures/ideas and give you a nice and tidy way to find them again. No writing down a billion web addresses or overloading your computer with bookmarks and folders and files, just one simple site that collects the best of the web for you~ You can follow other peoples boards, tag pictures with key words and search for things you are looking for. It is AMAZING!!

POLYVORE~ Is also an online community of STYLE BOARDS. It sounds like the same thing, but its very different- On polyvore you can create actual style boards. Hiring a Pro: How to Choose the Best Wedding Vendors

~I was recently approached and asked to write an article about the following question~

What is the best way to hire a professional

in the wedding industry?

As the Owner and Lead Consultant for Forevermore Events I have hired and worked with a fair share (and more) of wedding pros for many incredible events and I am happy to share what I have learned over the last 14 years in the industry. I hope that this quick Q&A will help answer some of the tough questions that come up when beginning down the path that is "Planning a Wedding" ~

Question.:What are the most important things to look for when hiring a wedding professional?

Answer: I would want a competent, reputable individual who is a real professional in their field.

For competency, look at their experience, training and recent work. How long have they been in the industry. How many weddings they have personally been a part of, and where and how have they learned their profession. Do you want someone who just started their business or someone that has earned their reputation with years of experience?

Do they have a retail location or are they just working out of their home? These days anyone can buy a camera or have business cards made, but these things do not make a professional. A storefront location is a big investment and usually equates that fact that they are serious and passionate about what they do.

Is their profession what they do full time, do they have other jobs that would pull them from being 100% committed to you or is this their weekend hobby?

Ask yourself if you are impressed by their work.

To determine reputation, ask for references from recent wedding clients, other vendors in the wedding industry and research them on-line to see what others have to say. What is their reputation with other vendor sin the area. Are they easy and professional to work with?

Also, take a good look at what they present on their website or blog....do they have a wide range in their portfolio? Is is professional, beautiful - quality work or just a lot of filler?

To determine if they are “me-oriented” I would look for good communication, professionalism, enthusiasm about your wedding and an overall sense that your personalities click. Trust your judgement, If something feels off, ~WAIT~ and meet with a few other vendors before deciding. Don't be rushed or bullied into making a decision that will affect your wedding. It never hurts to do your homework.

Question: Who is likely going to be the first professional a couple hires?

Answer: The wedding planner of course – to save hours of scouring websites and attending shows to find the perfect venue and the best vendors. They will also help the couple stay on track and not miss any details. However, a full service wedding planner is sometimes not in the budget and if that’s the case I would select the venue first as most are staffed by knowledgeable event coordinators who know their venues well and would likely be able to recommend vendors that they have had positive experiences with.

Question What kind of items should you look for in a contract with a wedding professional?

Answer: Make sure all the who’s, what’s, when’s and how’s are covered in any contract you sign. Specifically, look at hours of coverage that will be provided, product details if they are providing supplies, the name of the particular individual that will be providing the service if you have requested someone specifically; any cancellation policy (if you or the vendor cancels); any no-show policy (if the vendor does not show up); any back-up policy (if vendor is unable to be present due to unforeseen circumstances); and payment details including due dates and extra fees such as over-time and travel.

Question: What’s the best way to research potential professionals?

Answer: Meet with them, look at their recent work (photographs, videos, or even attend an event that they are providing a service at), ask for references, the best reflection of someone’s work is what their past clients have to say about them, and see what others are saying about them, other vendors in the area can be a great resources.

Question: What’s the best way to prevent disaster when it comes to relying on so many strangers?

Answer: First, hire the most reputable vendors. Second, communicate all the details, timeline, and expectations. Third, review all the details, timeline, and expectations. Fourth, get everything in writing. Fifth, follow up, follow up, follow up!

Mediterranean Delights for your Wedding

Even though Southern Utah is a desert and is known for it's Red Rock Mountains and horribly hot summers, we do have many hidden gems that bring brides from far and wide to host their destination weddings here in our back yard. So does that mean they are restricted to a southwestern themed wedding?? No Way! Southern Utah and Zions have so many incredible wedding vendors that can bring any idea, theme or inspiration to life.

Hummus Stuffed Grilled Artichoke.
Hummus is a local and crowd pleasing favorite! A delicate puree of chick peas, tahini (a paste made from ground sesame seeds), olive oil and Mediterranean herbs, served in grilled artichoke, and complimented with crispy grilled pita bread.

Gorgonzola Salad
Gorgonzola is rising in the ranks of delicious crumbly cheeses. Similar to blue cheese, but when it’s combined with sun dried tomatoes, house-glazed walnuts, dried cherries and served over a mix of spring greens it becomes the perfect 1^st course for a luncheon or reception dinner.

Sweet Basil Citrus Cup
Truly the nectar of the gods, this fun little cup of fruit is both beautiful and refreshing. Inside is fresh ruby grapefruit, naval oranges, strawberries, and blue berries, infused with fresh sweet basil asheppie sauce.

Greek Salad
A perfectly portioned Greek salad made up of a mix of fresh spring greens, carrot slivers, green onion, chunks of imported feta cheese along with kalamata olives, all wrapped in a sweet cucumber shell and topped off with delicious Greek dressing made with imported spices from the entire Mediterranean region.

Grilled Snapper
Move the boring fish wedding entrées aside and offer your guests fresh snapper grilled to flaky perfection and served over a creamy orzo pilaf, garnished with a grilled garlic clove.

Flat Bread and Black Olives
A perfect hors devour for the guest at leisure. Aromatic imported black olives, extra-virgin olive oil and garden fresh mint served along side crispy grilled flat bread. Simple and filling, a perfect snack for the cocktail hour!

Grilled Tomato and Basil Pesto Soup
This is an exotic and flavorful dish that can either be served as an individual appetizer or as a main entree. This comfort food is taken to a whole new level. Half grilled garlicky tomato soup, and half basil pesto soup. It may seem to have a split personality but it’s loaded with perfectly balanced Italian flavor.

Rack Of Lamb
Your guests will go ga-ga for a perfectly cooked rack of lamb. Teased with Turkish spices and grilled to perfection, these large lollipops of lamb are served nestled among velvety garlic mashed potatoes then drizzled with burgundy demi-glaze and a sprig of rosemary!

Bread Pudding
Greek styled bread pudding may be more traditional but is still a fan favorite and far from ordinary! Overflowing with candied walnuts, yellow bing cherries, and served spilling from caramelized pear, then drizzled with buttery caramel sauce…. absolutely heavenly!

Mile-high Key Lime Cheesecake
Give your guests the perfect sweet and sour dessert before you say your final farewells. Gourmet Key Lime Cheesecake, stacked in dragon fruit (imported from Asia) and splashed with a reduced raspberry sauce, is the perfect way to end a flavorful meal.

Offering your guests exotic flavors and unique entrées is not a new idea, but it is one that is becoming increasingly popular throughout the wedding scene. Our biggest suggestion when it comes to braving a gourmet menu…. leave it to the professionals! Many recipes do not easily translate for the masses, but skilled chefs and caterers can easily offer your guests’ unique hors devours, individually proportioned tasting menus, finger-foods and tapas as well as family styled buffets full of flavorful entrées. Wedding Trend Alert: Hand Painted Cakes

I have been in the wedding industry for many years, and yet I am always surprised at the vast amounts of creativity out there in the galaxy that is the wedding world! When I start to see certain trends popping up on all of the industry media fronts... Bridal Magazines, Wedding Blogs, Pintrest, Stumbleupon, etc... I feel those "trend butterflies" begin fluttering in my stomach, and know that I must pass a long a few of my favorites to our readers.

Wedding cakes are no exception. Trends come and go, but this one makes my heart beat a little faster.... Hand Painted Wedding Cakes.... be still my heart. Hand Painted Cakes is not a new idea, but there are several artist in the industry that are taking it to a new level. When we came across this This ROYAL photo shoot from Green Wedding Shoes we knew it would be a fabulous one to share with our readers. It is full of stunning photos by Elizabeth Messina and Merryl Brown Events. Every detail was so well thought out, and as I looked at image after image it got me thinking about something my father always said,
~"There is a princess inside of every young woman, it is her job first to act like one, and the job of the man she chooses to love to treat her accordingly!"~ Now that I have children of my own I truly believe in that simple thought. Wedding Traditions: Something Blue

Did you ever wonder where the Bridal tradition....
Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue and a lucky sixpence for her shoe... came from?

Well, a lot of people do. This cute poem is an old tradition dating back to the Victorian Age, But a lot of the Brides I meet with each week are still plan on following this sweet tradition in a modern way

We wanted to share their take on this fabulous old tradition....

"Something old". These words symbolize CONTINUITY with the Bride's family and past. Some beautiful ideas for this include a cherished piece of jewelry from Grandma, a brooch from a favorite family memeber, a keepsake hankie from Mom's Wedding day or an antique piece of lace stitched into the hem of her gown.

"Something new" represents OPTIMISM and HOPE for the Bride's future and what lies ahead for her. Now speaking from a woman's point of view, aren't we always optimistic when buying something new? That is certainly true and can be easily achieved through the new purchase of a Wedding gown, a gorgeous pair of sparkly earrings and bracelet (pictured left, courtesy of A Beautiful Touch), fabulous high heels (courtesy of something old, something new blog) or something very sweet and sentimental. The list goes on and on...

"Something borrowed" portion of this poem is supposed to be obtained through a happily married relative or friend, whose good fortune in marriage hopefully will carry over to the Bride. Many of "my" Brides find this to be the most challenging aspect of this traditional poem, I think because of style differences or preferences. They often borrow a pretty purse, a small piece of antique jewelry or a sentimental item such as a small family heirloom that has emotional value to the Bride.

Now, as for the "something blue" item of this poem, the color blue has been connected to Weddings far before the Victorian Age. In ancient Rome, Brides wore blue to represent LOVE, FIDELITY and MODESTY. This calming hue has also been chosen by early Christians to dress the Virgin Mary. Therefore, PURITY, is also associated with this color. And this last fact, which I find very interesting, is that before the late 19th century, blue was a popular color for Wedding gowns. Think about this proverb, "Marry in blue, lover be true".
The modern Bride can be extremely creative with finding her "something blue". There are plenty of contemporary and trendy, as well as traditional items to choose from.

And finally, a silver sixpence in the bride's shoe represents WEALTH and FINANCIAL SECURITY. A sixpence was a coin that was minted in Britain from 1551 to 1697. Back in Scottish custom, a groom put a silver coin under his foot for good luck. It should be in the LEFT shoe for the best possible luck! Today, a copper penny is sometimes substituted, although sixpence can still be found and used.

I LOVE it! Informative and eye opening! Here are a few modern ways that you can incorporate the "blue" tradition into your wedding ensemble.

Fall is here, and with it brings the vibrant colors of changing leaves, muted hues of the mountain sides and one of my personal fall happenings.... New York Fashion Week. It's that magical time of the year when the Designers and Fashionistas in the industry trot out their newest creations for us to LOVE, Like or Hate!

Even though fashion week has come and gone it graciously left us with a schlew of new colors and trends to drool over. At the foundation of any great and memorable fashion line are the "it" colors that you will see popping up all over. You see, after fashion week in New York, Pantone always puts together color reports for both Spring and Autumn. Although these colors aren't meant to be wedding specific, it's fun to see what is considered the ''it'' colors for the season...especially since the "it" colors tend to trickle down to the wedding scene via clothing, linens, decor etc. So without further ado announcing the....

PANTONE COLORS for SPRING 2012

We love the inspiration boards the the masterminds at The Perfect Palette put together, and their take on the Pantone Spring 2012 colors is no exception! Here is an excerpt that (I love) from their blog about the newest "it" colors...

I'm happy to report that this time the brights are even brighter, but that's not to say they didn't round out their top 10 with a pretty pastel. Isn't Sweet Lilac dreamy? I'm also happy to report that this list is definitely very close to any list I would have put together for Spring weddings. I can't wait to play around with this palette and see what new and exciting palettes I might discover, but in the meantime take a look at this list and tell me... what's your favorite? Personally, my favorites would have to be Tangerine Tango and Driftwood. However, I must admit that I can't wait to put together a palette of Margarita, Cockatoo and Starfish.

.... I am right there with them! Driftwood and Starfish are going to make wonderful companion colors to the bright and cheery 2012 line-up. Here are a few of my favorite inspiration boards that include a few of the new colors and would be fabulous palettes for an upcoming event...

Inspirational Wedding: Luxe & Lavish

We all love shabby chic and vintage inspired weddings, thought it would be fun to switch it up a bit. I recently came across this ultra glamorous wedding on The Wedding Chicks, and literally drooled over many of the details. The invitations were the perfect signal to the Bride and Grooms family and friends, that this would be an event to remember. Simple but SO Chic!

The floral arrangements were the perfect mix of soft and textural. I loved the mix of "Sterling" Lavender roses, Black Calla Lilies, Safari Sunset, Orchids and fresh green Hanging Amaranthus.

All I can say about the Brides Brooch Bouquet is WOW! I know they are all the rage right now, but for some reason to see one that is made entirely out of silver encrusted brooches and rhinestones.

The table settings were gorgeous! Just the right amount of lavish & luxe details, mixed with the softness of the scalloped place-mats and variety of chair covers, and the Victorian styled centerpieces

The brides gown(s) were all amazing! What a fun idea to have more than one. I know many gals that have a hard time choosing their favorite dress, so... why not choose TWO!

The Raspberries and Macaroons were a delicate and delicious touch to an already fabulous event, and I LOVED the idea to serve them in vintage pink hobnail glassware. So brilliant!

....and the CAKE- Oh the BEAUTIFUL Cake! The details were again a nod to Olde World glamor, but executed in a way that screams clean and modern. Sometimes elegant simplicity speaks so much louder than in your face glitter and gaudy glamor.

Beautiful!

A Quick & Helpful National Wedding Budget Guide

I came across this intriguing "wedding breakdown" on The Knot Inc.
and found it SO interesting!

Then I thought to myself..... If I think this is interesting I bet many of our readers will also!

It is based on national wedding averages from 2010. Some figures for the area might be high, and some a bit low.....but GOOD news for our UTAH brides, according to the chart we are the LEAST expensive state to get married in! SO next time the Fiance asks "How much is it going to cost?" Just say.... well at least we aren't getting married back east where it would cost 5 times that amount :) Enjoy!

Creative Planning: Will you be my Bridesmaid?

I am all giddy with this recent idea from The Wedding Chicks. As you all know I am in love with all the different and creative ways you can ask your -Best Gals- to be your Ladies in Waiting or Bridesmaids... This one just got bumped to the top of my list. So inexpensive and easy to do, with a little time and DIY creativity, you can present your BFF's with something they will always keep and treasure.... once you look below you will KNOW what I am going on and on about!

"Bethany went down to her local JoAnn’s and bought some unfinished Cigar boxes . You can buy them online for $3.49 She then painted them a sweet cream and blue Bahama. Wonderful wedding colors as well. Don’t you think?The outside of the box got two to three coats of light ivory to cover up the natural wood aura, and inside was treated to one layer of ivory, too. After that dried up, Bethany attacked the inside lid with a pencil, and free handed the bracket. We suggest downloading the template here and tracing. Bethany used a few sets of playfully calligraphic adhesive letters. You can pick those up at your local craft store. Before filling it with goodies Bethany used two coats of satin varnish, even over the letters."

Then it was time to tackle the contents. The bottoms got lined with vintage handkerchiefs.

Bethany wanted to lay out all the details about the wedding. She purchased scalloped A6 postcards and laid out all of her info in Word, making sure each postcard was progressively longer, allowing her to cut, then bundle. If you click on the photo you can read all of her wording to get more of an idea.

In the boxes, she placed photos of an inspiration board and paint chips to show where she was going with her color scheme. This is such a fun and unique way to ask your favorite ladies to be part of your special day.A bit of work is involved, but your besties will love it.

Inspirational Wedding: I LOVE Harry Potter!

In honor of the final Harry Potter movie, we had to share this amazing Hogwarts-inspired wedding found over on the BridalGuide.com! Pulling off a specific wedding theme is difficult—especially when it comes to Harry Potter. There's a fine line between classy and looking like an 8-year-old's birthday party.

But this wedding falls firmly on the side of classy. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did!

It's Friday, and you know what that means. It's time to feature another glamorous event, designed and coordinated by Forevermore Events!

Today we have a birthday party beyond ALL birthday parties!

A fabulous SURPRISE birthday get-together truly fit for a queen....

A Queen BEE that is!

This beautiful event was held at the Lexington Hotel on Bluff Street in St. George

The fantastic place settings were each adorned with a custom designed card for the guests to write what they "Love About Lisa"

The centerpieces were designed by the glorious gals at BLOOMERS.
They were each a little different, and I just had to take pictures of all of them!
The colors and flower choices were perfect next to the beautiful turquoise linens!

I love the gold tinted mercury glass containers! Perfect for an event fit for a queen~

Each guest received a jar of delicious amber honey. Such a fun and memorable favor!

From the ceiling we hung dozens and dozens of tissue paper orbs. They really made the whole room come alive, and you couldn't help but smile when you walked in the room.

Delicious sweets and eats were provided by the chefs at the Lexington Hotel. Forevermore Events made this great "Happy Bee Day" banner that hung above the buffet, and Custom menus were designed and provided by Bumble Love, a local graphic designer.

At the head of the room, in a place of honor, was a small stage set to display "The Queen Table" And a table fit for a queen it was! Decked to the nines with feather boas, a tiara, flowers, and a decadent chocolate cake!

SCRUMPTIOUS!

Dahlias are beautiful in Brides and Bridesmaids bouquets but can be a little LARGE for boutonnieres but can be perfect for corsages, talk to your florist about incorporating them onto a jeweled wristlet like the ones shown below.

If the dahlias are a little too large for your boutonnieres, a nice substitution is button mums.

They come in a variety of colors and are extremely hardy and long lasting.

Choosing a Color Pallette

Now that you are getting married, you might be thinking what colors to choose for your wedding theme. Some brides can creatively combine and pair different colors that looks fabulous together, with out any help.... But for the rest of us using a color wheel can be a great help when deciding on your wedding color scheme. Below is a great tool for anyone knee deep in the planning process.

There are basically two categories a color can fit into: Warm and Cool. Your choice of color will have an effect on the atmosphere and mood of your wedding and set the style of your entire event. So limit your basic colors to two or three so as not to look too jumbled. Use a mix of subdued colors for an elegant look.

Don't be afraid to use color! Color choices are important, and will come up over and over again during the planning process, so think long and hard before settling into a specific color palette.
When choosing colors:
~ Take into account what season you are getting married in, because certain colors and will be more available to you during different times of the year. I.e pastels will be more available in spring, and dark gem tones may be easier to find in the fall.
~ Think about your flower choices, if you have your heart set on certain flowers talk with your planner and florist about what colors are available and what tones they will be complementary with.
~ Think about what your bridal party will be wearing. Certain colors do not photograph well on certain skin tones. Maybe ask your photographers feedback, and think about possibly choosing an accent color in a photo friendly tone. Blacks, Pewter/Grays, Browns and Gold/Champagnes look amazing on a variety of skin tones.
~Think about your theme (If you have one) and ask yourself what will work with the elements you want to include in your wedding.

Q. We are getting married late this fall and have thought about having a "Italian Soda" Bar or Station, instead of doing a whole meal or buffet. What is the best way of going about this?? Will our guests be dissapointed that we aren't serving "real" food?? Our families aren't exaclty agreeing on this situation and we'd love a little advice from a neutral third party! Thank you!!

A. Dear Jenny and Seth, Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Forevermore Events is here for you and we are happy to share some of our ideas and years of experience, thats the whole reason behind Wedding Advice Wednesdays... we want to help all of the fabulous brides and groom that have questions they need answers to.

You shouldn't feel pressured into feeding the masses at your wedding. Be realistic about your budget and prioritize where you would like your funds dispersed too. If you decide to serve something lighter like Italian sodas or Desserts, just adjust your reception time to start a little later. THAT WAY, guests wont show up starving :)

Now onto your original question....

First a little background..... Italian Sodas or Cremosas are classic iced beverage consisting of soda water, varied flavored syrups and cream.

Italian Sodas are a wonderful wedding trend that has been popping up here and there over the last few years. What's not to love about a cool refreshing creamy treat in a variety of flavors that you and your guests can choose from and customize. Italian Sodas are the perfect alternative to sugary, caffeinated sodas and an ideal addition to any Wedding Menu!

Your guests will feel like royalty, and grandparents, adults, teens, tweens and even the little tykes will have a hard time refusing such a beautiful -made to order- beverage.

Nervous about how to make it happen? Don't be!

Many caterers like local favorite, Marvellous Catering, are familiar with serving Italian Sodas to the masses and can offer you a package that will include everything! -Service ware, Ice, Syrup Flavors, Soda Water, Cream and Whipped Topping if you so choose. Make sure that when you hire the caterer to DOUBLE CHECK what is included. Set-up, glasses, straws, napkins, staff, hours of service and if the gratuity for the service staff is included or extra :) With this type of wedding treat I would suggest that a professional catering company is hired. You will be pleased with the outcome and less stress will end up on your shoulders the day of the event.

If hiring a professional isn't in the cards and you are going the DIY route, I would suggest to still assign a few friends of family members to serve your guests. Be prepared with extra supplies and choose less flavors of syrup (simplify) and then really think about having appropriate signage in case the friends or family that are acting as "bar-tenders" aren't comfortable with explaining the process over and over.

CALLA LILIES

Colors: White, Off-White, Green, Yellow, Orange, Peach/Mango, Flame (Orange and Red) Red, Pink, Purple, White with Purple Centers, Dark Purple (also known as Black Callas)

Characteristic:

Calla lilies are gracious flowers that feature on bloom per stem. The average stem length is 35 inches, and the head size may vary from 3.5 up to 8 inches. Green Goddess Calla lilies may also have shorter stems which measure 24 inches long.

Availability:

Calla lilies are available year round.

Cost: a bit more on the expensive side but require less stems to make a dramatic arrangement

Calla Lilies are one of the most elegant wedding flowers available and this particular flower represents “magnificent beauty.” Calla lilies originated in Africa but can be found nowadays virtually anywhere. These flowers feature a large, trumpet – shaped bloom, which rests gently in a smooth stem.

These beautiful flowers have been often portrayed in paintings; Diego Rivera, the Mexican painter included these flowers in his pieces of art regularly.

Standard callas are easy to arrange and to maintain. They are often used in tall arrangements or presentation bouquets. Standard callas can be used by themselves or with fillers for a chic yet simple look. Mini Calla Lilies are highly sought after for use in bouquets and arrangements of wedding flowers. The size, manageable stem thickness and fun colors make Mini Calla Lilies very popular in boutonnieres and corsages. White is the most popular color available; however like most flowers, mini callas come in a variety of colors.

Okay, now THIS is a wedding I have been dying to share with our readers. The Bride is the wondrously talented lady behind the BLOG Unruly Things. She was married last year and throughout the planning process was a gracious guest blogger on 100 layer cakes, and shared her inspiration for her Portland wedding, her invites, her bridesmaid dresses, and her flowers. I absolutely love when clients see this flower and their eyes widen as they ask..... "what is that amazing green flower?" The answer is -of course- the fabulous.... Bells of Ireland. I love their color, height and free spirited feel, grounded with strong modern curves. Ever since I was first introduced to these guys I have been seriously drawn to them. Lucky for us they can go modern, rustic, edgy or just plain pretty, AND best of all they are available year round.

Southern Utah Bride Magazine {New Issue!}

Its that time of year again.... can you believe it? The Fall/Winter 2011 Issue of Southern Utah Bride Magazine hits stands this week and it is sure to exceed all of your expectations! Pages upon pages of content, helpful tips and information, fabulous local vendors and as always a touch of whimsy and what I like to call magazine magic!

We may not be the first Blog to post the good news, but we like to experience things first hand before posting our opinions to our readers. Personally, I couldn't get enough of the new issue....
